Quinoa Cooking Directions
Rinse 1 cup of quinoa under cool water in a strainer, transfer to a cooking pot, add 1 1/2 cup water, bring to a boil, cover with a tight fitting lid, and turn the heat down to simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove the quinoa from the heat and allow to sit for 5 minutes with the lid on.
When the quinoa is cooked add the following ingredients to taste:
toasted sesame oil
gluten free tamari sauce
lemon juice
ground cumin, coriander, and caraway seeds
chopped cilantro
nuts such as slivered almonds or raw pistachios
sugar free sundried cranberries
salt and pepper to taste
